Detailed description

The grape rattle, a cluster covered in small textures

A purple cluster made of distinct grapes, pleasant to trace with the fingertips and roll against the gums. Inside, a few recycled cherry pits produce a gentle sound whenever the cluster changes position.

Listen, then turn your head, then look

Locating a sound is a skill that is acquired. A newborn reacts to noise but does not know where it comes from; around four months, they turn their head in the right direction; around six months, they look for the source and reach out toward it. A rattle with a soft sound is the ideal tool to support this stage: simply make it sound to the side, out of the field of vision, and let the baby come and find it. The purple color, rare in developmental toys and very contrasted on a light mat, then helps the eye confirm what the ear had spotted.

The Oli&Carol know-how

The Fruits & Veggies collection was born from a simple desire of the two founders: to give toddlers toys that look like real food rather than characters. Each grape in the cluster is painted by hand, one by one, which explains the tiny variations from one piece to another. There are no attached parts; the toy comes out of the mold in one single piece.

Frequently asked questions

Can the grapes in the cluster detach?

No, they are part of the molding. There are no glued parts or attached elements on this toy.

Is the sound the same as on the other Oli&Carol rattles?

The filling material is identical, but the grape is the smallest of the three rattles, and therefore the most discreet. It is the one to choose for a toddler who is very sensitive to noise.

Can it be used during teething?

Yes, the textures of the grapes massage the gums in a more targeted way than a perfectly smooth surface.

At what age should it be given?

From birth, with genuine interest between three and nine months, the period when the baby learns to locate sounds and grab what they see.

How to clean it between the grapes?

A damp, soapy cloth is enough, paying attention to the crevices, followed by careful drying.
